The 2D Systems Operations Booster Club did not file Form 990-PF for prior years due to administrative turnover within the organization. During this period multiple officers responsible for financial oversight and tax compliance departed the organization due to military deployments and permanent change of station PCS moves. This resulted in a temporary loss of continuity in record keeping and awareness of filing requirements. Upon discovering the oversight the current officers immediately took steps to reconstruct financial records and prepare the required returns. The organization has now implemented procedures to ensure that tax filing responsibilities are clearly assigned and maintained during officer transitions. The failure to file was not intentional and was due to circumstances beyond the organizations control. The organization respectfully requests that any penalties associated with the late filings be abated.
