During 2024, our school was engaged in the purchase of its permanent campus located at 5004 Randonstone Lane, Bowie, Maryland 20715.The property had been vacant for more than five years and required extensive renovations prior to occupancy. Throughout the year, the school's leadership and staff managed substantial renovation efforts, including structural updates, building clean-up, grounds restoration, and necessary repairs to prepare the campus for safe student use. Simultaneously, The Mandala School continued full academic operations, maintaining its teaching schedule and daily programming. In addition to overseeing renovations, staff personally undertook grounds clean-up, leaf removal, trash removal, and building preparation in order to manage costs responsibly. During this same period, the school coordinated the relocation of furniture, books, educational materials, and supplies from its prior location-primarily on weekends and after school hours-to minimize disruption to students. The combined demands of campus acquisition, renovation, relocation, and uninterrupted school operations placed substantial strain on and impacted administrative capacity and contributed to the delayed filing. While every effort was made to remain current with all regulatory filings and documentation, the demands of these concurrent responsibilities contributed to the delayed filing. The Mandala School has since completed its transition to the new campus. To prevent future delays and strengthen compliance processes, the organization plans to retain professional accounting support to oversee filings and related administrative requirements. We would like to formally and respectfully request an abatement of all assessed late fees, interest, and penalties because of the extenuating circumstances that the demands of campus acquisition, renovation, relocation, and uninterrupted school operations placed on administrative staff capacity.
