Form 990, Part lll, Program services We saved over 2,000 animals in 2025!The vast majority of these have been animals that no one else would takelaw enforcement seizures, hoarding cases, and animals dumped by the side of the road.Many of these animals are in need of immediate medical care that no one else can provide.In 2025, we added many new partner groups from California to Maine and in between. As our network expands, we will be able to help even more animals in 2026.2025 was another year of large seizures, large hoarding cases, and larger breeder surrenders of animals. We are one of the few rescue groups in Texas that works regularly with law enforcement and others to take large groups of animals.Most of these cases are in rural areas where people have enough land privacy to accumulate animals without anyone knowing the condition or number of the animals. Worse, rural pounds are few and far between. All of them are quite small which means in most large cases the animals are quickly euthanized. Sometimes they are just left on the locations to suffer slowly because there is no place to take them.Another area of increasing concern for us is the emergence of more no-kill shelters. First, these shelters refuse all animals that are outside the city limits of their towns. Next, they simply refuse to take any animals when they are full.When a large group of animals are in trouble, no kill shelters just seem to refuse them. This is sending more animals out on the street or being dropped off in the woods. We will be working in 2026 to expand our network of partners to help in this area.
