It is also available to any member of the public by request. Form 990, Part VI, Section C, Line 19 Our organization makes all governing documents and financial statements available by request to the public during the tax year. We also publish an annual reports for our donors or any member of the public who may request a copy. A copy is posted on our website. We do not have a conflict of interest policy or a written document retention and destruction policy or a whistleblower policy. Our organization lacked funds for an outside audit prior to filing taxes this year. During the calculations for filing the 990, an accounting error was found but it was difficult to trace its origins. It was found just prior to the deadline in October, so we filed for an extension. Staff changes meant that a new financial coordinator had to be trained while the previous financial assistant searched for the error. The accounting error was finally found and corrected (the deferred revenue had not been accurately transferred into the revenue at the beginning of the fiscal year) last week and I completed the filing as quickly as I could while also updating the internal documentation. We are a small organization with very few employees. I apologize for the delay.
