Their reportable compensation as shown in Part VIII reflects total compensation paid by the organization for all services provided during the year. The organizations internal accounting records distinguish between administrative and artistic functions for budgeting and financial reporting purposes. Part IX, Line 11g This amount includes payments to guest artists contracted for Agaritas performances and community programming. It also includes fees paid to contractors for professional public relations and marketing services. Schedule M, Line 7 During the fiscal year, Agarita received a contribution of publicly traded stock, which was recorded at fair market value on the date of donation in accordance with GAAP and liquidated promptly. The late filing of the Form 990 was due to circumstances beyond Agarita's control. We made a good-faith effort to timely file an extension prior to the original due date. The extension Form 8868 that was filed on 1/15/2026 for Agarita Chamber Players was prepared and postmarked in January; however, at that time the IRS electronic filing system was experiencing a shutdown/outage. As a result, the extension could not be transmitted and was ultimately rejected once the system resumed normal operations. Because of the IRS system unavailability, we were unable to successfully submit the extension despite timely preparation and intent to comply. Upon learning that the extension had not been accepted, we promptly proceeded with filing the Form 990 as soon as the system became available. Agarita has a history of timely compliance and did not willfully neglect its filing obligations. The delay was caused solely by IRS system issues, not by disregard of filing requirements. Accordingly, our organization respectfully requests abatement of any late-filing penalties based on reasonable cause.
