<FactsAndCircumstancesTestTxt>Schedule A, Part II, Line 17a - Group B Strep International (GBSI) is structured to be a publicly supported organization and actively maintains a continuous and bona fide program for the solicitation of funds from the general public, community, governmental units, and other public charities. GBSI requests support through its website donation page and floating donate button that appears on each webpage, through its monthly newsletters, GBS awareness fundraising campaigns, and social media posts. Supporters can also have shopping rewards programs benefit GBSI. Parents and families of group B strep affected babies also hold fundraising events such as motorcycle rides and Facebook birthday fundraisers to benefit GBSI as well as make donations in memory or honor of their baby. During this fiscal year, GBSI received an extremely large donation from a family's foundation in memory of their baby who was harmed by group B strep. GBSI is governed by a board of directors committed to promoting awareness and prevention of group B strep disease in babies, not only to pregnant individuals, parents of babies, and perinatal healthcare providers, but to the general public through health observance months and social media campaigns in order to enlist the "it takes a village" approach and spread awareness by word-of-mouth. Besides the three health observance months that GBSI sponsors (February as International Prenatal Infection Prevention Month, July as International Group B Strep Awareness Month, and October as Prenatal-onset GBS Disease Recognition Month), GBSI has also hosted free online learning event on group B strep disease. Content from past events remains available to GBSI's website visitors.</FactsAndCircumstancesTestTxt>
