Governing body decisions Part VI line 7b The president of the organization delegates decision authority to each officer for their respective job function. Frequent meetings and communications are communicated to all officers to provide status updates of each coordinated program function and activity. The president makes the final approval and decision. Form 990 governing body review Part VI line 11 The 990 Tax Return review process consisted of the following steps1.) the CPA meets with the Chief operating officer to assess the non-profit and obtain initial responses to the questionnaires, and obtain copies of the financial statements.2.) Based on the information provided, a preliminary draft of the return is prepared and provided to the organizations governing officers for line by line review. The governing officers are provided the opportunity to ask the CPA questions about the return3.) CPA makes final adjustments based on feedback from the non-profits governing officers.4.) The final draft is provided to the non-profits governing body for final approval and signature to approval/authorization documents.
