In 2023 Turkeys & More raised $78455 through private donations, business donations and some grant donations. This money was used to purchase 2,000 turkeys and 500 $25 grocery gift cards. 1,200 turkeys were delivered to 21 outlying Food Relief centers for distribution to their needy and vulnerable clientele. 500 Turkeys & grocery gift cards were distributed by Community Action Partnership (CAP) Food Bank clientele that had registered through Turkeys & More. The remaining 300 turkeys were donated to CAP for distribution to clientele that failed to register or didn't show up at the designated time and place to pick up their turkey. The registration form asked clientele to indicate the number of people that would be partaking in their Thanksgiving meal. We summed the responses and determined that the average number of people fed per turkey was 4.87. Therefore, we confidently believe that made a traditional Thanksgiving meal a reality for 10,000 people that would not have had a turkey. 0 0 In 2024 Turkeys & More purchased and then donated 2,100 turkeys to families in need and other food banks and hunger relief organizations. Turkeys & More also donated 545 $25 Grocery gift cards to the families that came through our distribution site so that they may purchase other food items to accompany the turkey for their thanksgiving dinner.
