Organic Transition: Supported farmers and Tribal producers with organic transition strategies, fostering pesticide free agriculture. Hemp Leadership: Spearheaded Idaho's first extension project on hemp, now a top three producing state. Tribal Collaboration: Provided technical assistance for non-chemical land management consultation to Western tribes. Witnessed the lead up to the first Idaho NRCS Indigenous Stewardship Methodologies Agreement undertaken. Latino Outreach: Reached thousands of Latino farm workers via bilingual programming and partnerships. Climate Conscious Agriculture: Built Congressional support for USDA climate-smart and organic farming programs. Community Partnerships: Strengthened relations with diverse stakeholders, including Tribes and historically under-resourced communities. 500 plus plants installed on organic farms. 250 plus people consulted about alternatives to toxic pesticides used to grow food. 200 people viewed online webinar series on Organic Wild Crop Harvest Certification. 253142 0 0 Healthy People and Communities: In Central and Eastern OR, we held a series of 20 well received participatory workshops along with partner organizations, to share resources and encourage dialogue among farm workers. In the Portland Metro area we hosted 2 workshops for our Latino Landscaper Network, providing a space for Spanish speaking landscaping professionals and their families to share their knowledge and questions around sustainable land management, personal protective equipment (PPE), community health issues among other topics. Offered around 500 pieces of educational materials and resources for free to community members at our workshops, outreach sessions and partner events. During 2024, our radio show "Raises Resilientes: Voces del campo" had its first year on air. We had over 30 guests across areas vital to the Latino population, including pesticide awareness, climate health, and community health. Distributed over 150 pieces of educational materials regarding climate awareness during our outreach and workshops. Through our Spanish language programs we partnered with over 30 organizations within our tri-state region. Met with Oregon Governor Tina Kotek regarding access to clean drinking water for residents of Umatilla and Morrow counties. More than 650 of Spanish speaking community members learned about self-advocacy for pesticide exposure at a NCAP event. 100 landscaping community members responded to our surveys to better understand their needs within the Portland metropolitan area. Over 930 people from our target audience were reached by our bilingual programs. Our radio show aired 44 times during 2024. Provided expert pest and weed management consultations, empowering community members with scientifically grounded information to make informed, sustainable choices. Delivered impactful presentations addressing critical environmental and human health issues, fostering a deeper understanding and commitment to change within the community. Provided interview for local Washington newspaper focused on alternatives to glyphosate pesticides. Collaborated with diverse coalitions to amplify our advocacy efforts, contributing to multiple policy recommendations promoting safer and more sustainable practices. 1554 plus individuals participated in education projects exploring the impact of pesticides on ecosystems and human health with 4 new resources created and distributed. 16 community members benefited from personalized consultation services. As part of ASC 740 implementation, the Organization adopted a policy to record accrued interest and penalties associated with uncertain tax positions in income tax expenses in the statement of activities. On initial adoption of ASC 740 and through September 30, 2024, the Organization recognized no uncertain tax position nor accrued interest and penalties associated with uncertain tax positions.
