Members-at-large must be students currently enrolled in the Texas A&M Dwight Look College of Engineering. Undergraduate students in their first semester of university are not eligible for membership. Additionally, every recognized student organization with an engineering focus is allowed to select from among their own membership one representative to serve on the Council. Each April, all members vote on the upcoming fiscal year's executive board (President, Vice President-Development, Vice President-External, Vice President-Internal) which is responsible for leading SEC.
