The Foundation will consider requests from organizations that have received 501(c)(3) tax-exempt status from the Internal Revenue Service and which are not classified as private foundations under the Internal Revenue Code 509. State and local government requests are also considered. Grants are made for general operations, specific projects and capital campaigns. As a general rule, the Foundation will not serve as the major or sole funder of a project. Multi-year commitments are normally confined to capital campaigns and are generally restricted to a period of three years or less. The Foundation does not commit to annual support.
