Through networks of relationships, we create a more just world for immigrants, migrants, and asylum seekers by taking immediate humanitarian action and long-term collective, intentional action. Program Service Accomplishments: We opened our Immigrant Welcome Center at Aloha United Methodist Church, allowing us to provide wraparound support to individuals and families new to Oregon. Our Sanctuary Fund is administered through the Welcome Center, where we have volunteers running ELL and citizenship classes, as well as matching hosts and host congregations with individuals and families in need. We partnered with PIRC and 8 other organizations to support migrants, five days a week, at the ICE building and at the federal courthouse. This streamlined method of accompaniment has met the exponentially increasing demand for referrals, resources, and accompaniment. Concurently, we have maintained our accompaniment program, which includes coordinating transportation and individual accompaniment for appearances and hearings. We continue to train people in other areas of the state, as they develop their own accompaniment programs, to increase the likelihood that migrants in rural areas will receive the necessary information and support.
