These members are any parent of a child attending Melinda Heights Elementary School and any teacher at the school. Membership dues are paid to join. Part VI, Line 7a The Melinda Heights Elementary School PTA members elect members to the governing body of 11 officers. Part VI, Line 7b The elected officers vote on decisions which are then presented to the entire membership for approval. Part VI, Line 11a Once the Form 990 is completed by the tax preparer a committee of the executive board reviews the tax return and asks any questions. Once all questions are answered the treasurer signs the electronic filing documents. Before the final tax return is filed PDF copy is sent to all members of the governing body. Part VI, Line 12c Conflict of Interest Whistle Blower Policy form must be signed by each member of the Melinda Heights PTA Executive Board at the beginning of the fiscal year. This form requires disclosure of a known or anticipated conflict of interest. Once disclosed the executive board votes whether or not to accept the conflict of interest. Executive Board ensures that forms are completed by all Executive Board members. Copies of the forms are filed with the District PTA board as well. Part VI, Line 19 Governing documents and financial statements of the Melinda Heights Elementary School PTA are available for review by the general public at the Melinda Heights Elementary School upon request.
