To facilitate ongoing charitable activities aligned with G-R-A-E's mission, MyVoteMatters assumed fiscal sponsorship responsibilities. Under this arrangement, all contributions intended for G-R-A-E were deposited directly into a designated SunTrust bank account controlled by MyVoteMatters. Expenditures from this account were authorized and closely monitored by Wanda Mosley, the founder of MyVoteMatters, who also maintained detailed financial oversight in coordination with G-R-A-E's founder. G-R-A-E's founder continued to carry out mission-related activities under MyVoteMatters' financial oversight. All funds and financial activities were rigorously documented, controlled, and periodically reviewed by an independent accounting firm, KMR Tax Consultants, ensuring accurate financial accountability and transparency throughout the fiscal sponsorship period. The delay in filing the 2022 tax return was primarily due to the new responsibilities associated with fiscal sponsorship, as well as challenges encountered in securing an accountant familiar with fiscal sponsorship reporting requirements to prepare and file this return.
