Founded in 1988, it works in cooperation with other faith and community based organizations, foundations, local governmental agencies and volunteers to help returning citizens, their families and at-risk populations become successful and stay out of the criminal justice system. The support is offered in a myriad of services that include case management, mentoring for youth and families, job placement and social enterprise development, housing referral assistance, counseling and therapeutic support; all of which are impactful. We added $2.2 million to new grants. This additional revenue was to provide increased programming where we added an additional 45 part-time employees; through our mentoring and family engagement grant we served over 85 youths and 22 families. Through our case management services grant, we served several new clients who needed support after being impacted by violence. This grant serviced 22 clients in our first year and poised ourselves to assist over 80 more with the hiring of 4 new case managers. Additionally, we added substance education and outreach as well as recruited over 25 youths for our 2 Good for Drugs & Violence Peace initiative funded by the Department of Behavioral Health.
