Family Week is a partnership with Family Equality to provide programming for over 600 families and their children for the last week in July in Provincetown, MA. For COLAGE, the program serves as an incubator space to build and develop programs that are then brought to other local communities around the U.S. both virtually and in person. COLAGE held its second annual Atlanta Family Weekend as part of Atlanta Pride. In 2024 we launched QUIP (Queerspawn Utilizing and Interrupting Policy)-- our policy & advocacy arm engaging COLAGErs in creating and sharing resources and testifying on behalf of our families.COLAGE continues to collaborate with other organizations through events and shared resources to support whole families and uplift rather than duplicate one another's efforts. Educational Programs and Youth LeadershipCOLAGE conducts educational programming to support people who have one or more LGBTQ+ parents. The core of this work is social justice that is facilitated through meetings, programs, and workshops. COLAGE is committed to empowering the next generation of changemakers and operates a robust Youth Leadership program. The Youth Action Board is an ongoing leadership group of young people who provide input as well as production of outreach material. Once completed, the form 990 is electronically distributed to the full board of directors, who are asked if they have any questions or comments. Any questions or proposed changes are reviewed electronically. The form 990 is then approved by the full board of directors Form 990, Part VI, Section B, line 12c The organization's conflict of interest policy is provided to all officers and directors. Annually, these individuals are asked to review the policy and sign a statement indicating that they understand the policy, have reported all potential conflicts during the past year in accordance with the policy and will report all potential conflicts during the coming year. All potential conflicts are evaluated by the President of the board of directors to determine if a conflict actually exists. In those instances where the potential transaction is a conflict, the board examines the transaction and a vote is taken (with those involved recusing themselves) as to whether the organization will enter into the transaction. Form 990, Part VI, Section B, line 15 During the budgeting process, the finance committee reviews staff compensation, considering comparable rates of compensation in the area and in similar organizations. Once the finance committee is satisfied as to the proposed compensation, it makes a recommendation to the board as part of the budget approval process.
