On multiple occasions over the past three years the Executive Director of Friends of the Children of West Hawaii Inc. has been forced to take a leave of absence for medical treatment related to a genetic condition and related cancer multiple times each year. As the sole permanent employee of the organization, this has led to a chronic backlog of work which is only recently been able to be caught up. The priority has been the provision of our non-profit services to children in need, catching up on administrative tasks as able.
