Due to an unexpected and unforeseen change in staff and auditors we were unable to file our Form 990 by the original due date. As a nonprofit organization we take our compliance responsibilities seriously and did not intend to disregard IRS requirements. As soon as we became aware of the oversight we took immediate steps to complete and file the return. We have also implemented improved internal controls including a staff changes and protocols to ensure review of submitted returns to ensure timely filings going forward.
