"Foundation" supports the operating programming and capital costs of The Kentucky Center for the Arts Corporations "Corporation". The Foundation budgets annual grants from endowment funds per the spending policy of the Foundation. The budget is approved by the Foundation Board of Directors. The Executive Committee of the Corporation and the Foundation meet jointly once a quarter. The Board of Directors of the Corporation and Foundation meet jointly twice a year. Directors of both organizations participate in strategic planning periodically. Part VI, Line 11b Form 990 is prepared by the Director of Accounting. It is reviewed by the organizations CPA firm and the Treasurer of The Kentucky Center for the Arts Foundation Inc. for approval. It is then distributed to board members.
