Time Committeeperson and Alternates shall serve a three (3) year term, or for a longer period if . the International Constitution is amended to increase the term of officers and representatives . . Section 3 . To be eligible for candidacy, all members in good standing within a designated district must . be nominated by a member in good standing of said designated district, for District . Representative but must present in writing, their acceptance of nomination indicating which . position, as indicated in section 1 of this Article. Only members in good standing, working in . this jurisdiction shall be eligible to vote for the District Representative. . . Article XIV . ELECTIONS AND ELECTION COMMITTEE . Section 1 . The Election Committee shall consist of twenty-four (24) members and four (4) alternates . that will be nominated and elected at the first of two special membership meetings. The top . twenty-four elected will sit on the committee and the other four will sit as alternates. The . Chair and Vice Chair will be elected fron the total committee. The membership must be . given at least seven (7) days advance notice that the committee will be elected and . nominations will be made at this meeting. .
