Schedule D, Part X, Line 2 Financial Accounting Standards Board issued ASC Topic 740 - Income Taxes (Topic 740), which clarifies the accounting for uncertainty in income taxes recognized in an entity's financial statements and prescribes a recognition threshold and measurement attribute for the financial statement recognition and measurement of a tax position taken, or expected to be taken in a tax return. Topic 740 has not resulted in any adjustments to the financial statements. Form 990, Part VI, Section A, Line 6 In lieu of stockholders, the Corporation consists of Life Members. Life Members shall consist of regular Eastern Star Chapters, subordinate to the Grand Chapter of Kentucky, and such individuals who are affiliated with some regular Chapter, who have paid toward the maintenance of the Eastern Star Home in Kentucky the sum of fifty (50) dollars. Form 990, Part VI, Section A, Line 7a The Board of Directors shall consist of sixteen (16) persons, seven (7) of who shall be ex officio members thereof, and the other nine (9) shall be elective officers. The nine (9) elective Directors shall be elected by a majority of the votes cast by the Life Members. In the first instance of their election by the membership of the Corporation three (3) shall be elected for a term of one year, three (3) for a term of two years, and (3) for a term of three years. Thereafter, each of the elective Directors shall be elected for a period of three years. At the stated annual meeting of the Corporation, the owners of the Life Memberships shall be entitled to cast one vote for three (3) selected people for each Life Membership as shown by the books of the Corporation 45 days prior to the meeting. Form 990, Part VI, Section B, Line 11b Treasurer reviewed form in detail with employee charged with preparation. Each member of the Board of Directors was sent form prior to mailing. Form 990, Part VI, Section B, Line 15 In relation to the Executive Director compensation, the Board of Directors researched compensation at similar facilities and reviewed information available on market rates. The Board of Directors performs the Executive Director's annual review and votes to adjust the compensation at that time. Form 990, Part VI, Section C, Line 19 The Home provides copies of documents when requested by members or the general public. Extension was filed on May 12, 2025.
