Since its founding in 2005, CCD has established itself as a leading advocate for ballot access, and its work has directly benefited hundreds of thousands of voters nationwide by protecting their freedom of choice. CCD is leveraging that track record of success by expanding fundraising efforts to reach those voters and others who support its work but have yet to do so financially, and by targeting other funding sources including foundations and individuals who support its nonpartisan mission of protecting American democracy by challenging barriers to participation in the electoral process. CCD's highly respected Board of Directors is dedicated to that mission and to guaranteeing CCD's continued viability as a non-profit that provides essential services to under-protected voter populations. To that end, and on the advice of its accountant, CCD is in the process of establishing a Supporting Organization that will receive and manage funds on CCD's behalf.
