Form 990, Part VI, Section A, line 6 Membership in the NSPA is open to organizations, institutions, entities and individuals who are active in the Scholarship Provider community, seek to foster a positive association within the community, support and contribute to the NSPA goals, maintain their membership in good standing, and uphold the responsibilities and integerity of the NSPA without conflict of interest. Form 990, Part VI, Section A, line 7a Each member organization must designate one individual to serve as the voting member. The designated voting individual may be changed by the member organization or program at any time upon notice to the NSPA. Board of Director members ar elected to serve one, three-year term, renewable for three terms. Annually in June, NSPA members are encouraged to apply for open board positions through an application process. NSPA members vote for nominees in December and new Board members begin terms in January. Persons covered by the policy are required to disclose any potential conflicts of interest in the annual questionnaire or when they become aware of a potential conflict not previously disclosed. The Board will then review and the member or staff may not participate in the discussion or vote, and must not attempt to exert any influence at or outside the meeting. Individuals covered by the policy are provided a copy of the policy each year and are required to sign and return their acknowledgement.
