Form 990, Part VI, Section A, line 3 National Propane Gas Foundation (NPGF) was organized in the form of a trust. The National Propane Gas Association's (NPGA) Executive Committee appoints the trustees for NPGF. The trustees have delegated the management of the NPGF Scholarship Fund (NPGF/SF) to the Scholarship Committee of the NPGF/SF as a separately funded activity of the NPGF. Form 990, Part VI, Section A, line 4 The NPGA Executive Committee serving in their role as the Foundation Trustees had outside counsel perform a review of the Foundation's original trust document which was found to be substantially outdated. Outside Counsel drafted the new Restatement Declaration of Trust Document which was approved in May 2023. As part of the new Trust Document the NPGA Executive Committee resigned as the Trustees of the Foundation and approved a 5 new member Board of Trustees, each serving an initial 2-year term. Form 990, Part VI, Section B, line 11b Upon receiving a draft copy of the Form 990 from the tax preparers, NPGA's CFO reviews the Form 990 for any omissions or necessary updates as well as tying out the financial information back to the audited financial statements. Next, NPGA's Audit Committee reviews the draft copy of the Form 990 during a conference call meeting prior to the actual filing with the IRS. Before filing, the NPGF trustees are emailed a copy of the Form 990. Form 990, Part VI, Section B, line 12c A copy of NPGF's Conflict of Interest Policy is included in the meeting materials for each NPGF/SF board meeting along with a copy of the NPGF Whistle Blower Policy. The Chairman makes reference to these policies at each NPGF/SF Committee meetings. Form 990, Part VI, Section C, line 19 NPGF makes copies of its Form 1023 and Form 990 available upon request for the same period of disclosure as set forth in Section 6104(d).
