These efforts include constituent lobbying visits at the State Capitol and in legislators' district offices, town hall meetings, testifying at legislative hearings, and communication with legislators via mail, phone, or electronic means. Equality Texas's direct lobbying efforts included action alerts and campaigns to members and contacts with legislators and their offices by Equality Texas members. Equality Texas also worked with its legislative allies on drafting proposed legislation for the next session of the Texas Legislature.
