The DPRK border remains closed to all organizations and people other than Chinese and Russian organizations or people due to COVID restrictions through the date of this filing with no definitive date of reopening the border to organizations or people from other countries. Ignis Community had to temporarily adjust its humanitarian project execution, shoe distribution program and work with the Pyongyang Spine Rehabilitation Center (PYSRC) due to the border restrictions and closure. However, Ignis Community continues to be in contact with the local authorities in Northeast Asia and will continue to provide assistance within the scope of these program services in 2024 using legal and acceptable means within its licensure approved by the US Treasury Dept. (OFAC) and US Commerce Dept. and in compliance with the United Nations sanctions exemption issued to Ignis Community.
