<DescriptionProgramSrvcAccomTxt>Professional Wildlife Monitoring: We continue to research and implement non-invasive monitoring to improve both the welfare of endangered species, and knowledge that directly contributes to protecting them. In 2023, WildTrack had 35 active field projects in 20 countries, with a total of 40 field volunteers (including temporary) and we completed the development of 41 species algorithms. We grew our WildTrack AI database to 20,000+ images and our user base to 500+ users. We completed the AWS migration from Microsoft, launched the app for Android and iOS, and started growing user engagement through improved interfaces and opportunities for engagement (UI/UX). This is the foundation for attracting community scientist data collection throughout the world that will transform our ability to monitor endangered species with reliable, high-volume data collection.</DescriptionProgramSrvcAccomTxt>

<DescriptionProgramSrvcAccomTxt>Conservation FIT: In 2023, we worked with field biologists and local communities to collect data for analysis and provide training. We started working on a new project to develop an environmental metric to assess biodiversity health using small mammal footprints. This is a 2 phase project, with each phase lasting 18 months and involving several field sessions, workshops, community outreach, tracker training and evaluation. We also published fieldwork from California on the use of footprints to monitor and protect the fisher in the Sierra Nevada range of California. This species is a key indicator of forest health, and therefore an important indicator of fire damage. In 2023 we also started working on a human:wildlife conflict mitigation project in South Africa, where spotted and brown hyena are causing damage in local communities when they raid livestock. Footprints can help identify the areas most at risk and from which species, and help design mitigation measures. Last, we developed new media outreach materials such as an explainer video, to aid in conservation education for our local communities engaged with our projects.</DescriptionProgramSrvcAccomTxt>

<FactsAndCircumstancesTestTxt>Current Year Facts and Circumstances: WildTracks mission is to protect endangered species using a unique combination of advanced data analytics, artificial intelligence, and traditional ecological knowledge. Its innovative new model to tackle the global decline in species uses footprints as research data to support the conservation of wildlife species, preserve the biodiversity of Earth, and mitigate the illegal trafficking of products from endangered species. WildTracks public support percentage for the 5-year period ended December 31, 2023 rose to 29.82%. This represents a 24% increase in the public support percentage over what WildTrack reported last year.WildTrack maintains a continuous and bona fide program to solicit funds from the general public. It is growing its constituent database using software tools such as Bloomerang, which now holds more than 850 constituents with whom WildTrack shares a monthly newsletter to attract new support and funding. Its footprint identification AI platform now has more than 20,000 images contributed by its user community, and WildTrack is expanding the number of species it can detect in the United States and around the world. Its fundraising activities are reasonable considering its time commitment to a dense schedule of charitable programs. In 2023, fundraising expenses were 7% of charitable expenses, with most fundraising costs attributed to salaries and wages, and fundraising-related software and tools. One staff member spends a portion of their time dedicated to fundraising efforts, which include identifying prospective funders, reaching out to make connections, submitting grant applications, and maintaining relationships with existing and potential funders who work in this field. WildTrack receives significant support from large private foundations, government institutions, and individuals and public charities in support of its mission.Public support is 29.82%, well above the 10% minimum, and much closer to the 33.33% benchmark than its 2022 percentage of 24.08%. Recently awarded grants, and those in the pipeline, show WildTracks deliberate strategy aimed at increasing its public support percentage each year. For the five-year period ended December 31, 2023, WildTracks support came from a variety of unrelated individuals, organizations, and foundations. WildTrack is in discussions with current and recent grantors about new grants for 2024. Examples include the US Army, US Forestry Service and German nonprofit Max Planck Institute. The 2023 grant awarded by the Tswalu Foundation (a South African nonprofit) will continue into 2025. These fundraising efforts aim to contribute directly to WildTracks public support level. WildTracks Board of Directors includes a range of professionals with diverse skillsets: lawyers, accountants, computer scientists, professors, and researchers. They bring considerable expertise and a variety of perspectives and experiences to their work with WildTracks governing body. WildTrack actively engages its Board in strategic, governance and fundraising activities to promote WildTracks public profile and increase public support. In 2023 WildTrack continued to grow its WildTrack Specialist Group, a collection of professional conservation biologists across 12 countries who monitor specific large and small animal species using WildTracks footprint identification technology. With 90%+ accuracy in classifying animals by species, individual, sex and age-class, this group is stimulating interest in WildTracks conservation efforts. Through the WildTrack Specialist Group, WildTrack ran two successful public fundraising campaigns, the first for Giving Tuesday and the second a general campaign to help support WildTrack. In 2023, WildTrack carried out new research projects with Harvard Universitys computer science and software engineering departments. WildTrack is working with this university to attract funding for future projects in collaboration with its students - projects WildTrack is currently undertaking pro bono. WildTrack continues to develop connections with other academic institutions as well.WildTracks new website includes an Explainer video to help the broader public understand its many projects and mission. The ongoing development of its mobile AI app to expand footprint data collection to citizen scientists, its regular newsletter, and social media coverage all improve WildTracks public outreach. Every year, WildTracks promising research results are published in peer-reviewed scientific journals. All this exposure underpins WildTracks deliberate and steady efforts to attract new public funding to its important mission.</FactsAndCircumstancesTestTxt>
