These gardens are in shared land, owned by other entities, in two cases a local government, in the case of Apopka by the Hope CommUnity Center. The aim of the gardens is to create a safe food alternative to our communities and address issues of lack of access to quality, nutritious food. These food sources also have served as alternatives when food scarcity has occurred, as it did at the beginning of the 2020 Covid-19 pandemic. Each member shall have no vote in local meetings or at the annual meeting. Each member has the right to participate in all local activities.
