The areas of principle concern are in La Montana de la Flor (MDLF), northetern Francisco Morazan department and home to the indigenous Tolupan, Nueva Capital SW of Tegucipalpa, and other rural areas in proximity to these areas. The Honduran Foundation Uno a Uno assists Mission Honduras Le Mars, Inc. in the implementation of various programs and the distribution of equipment, food, supplies and other cares. Health Case for kids, adults and health facilities and clinics. Funded various items in hospitals, and provided for care to various individuals, e.g., stomach cancer, blankets, orthesis, treated boy with Kawasaki Syndrome, hospital bedding, wheel chairs, various tests for renal failure, patients need scans.Purchased 1 portable ultrasound, butterfly for a hospital, along with notebooks, toothbrushes, oral hygiene items, pallet and floor space on shipping container and many other items. Also, help fund various individuals to meet with hospital officials, doctors, etc., for receiving the supplies sent throughout the year. 0 0 Water projects. Repaired an existing project in La Ceiba, la Montana de la Flor. The projects were first completed in 2011 after various damages. In 2011, heavy rains and storms helped erode much of the landscape near the pressa (water source), and many of the water trenches were damaged. This village is the largest in Montana de la Flor, and the center of the trading in the whole region. The village was a MoH Clinic, and has recently received lights. The total cost for this village was $10,000. The price includes supervision.The second village in la Montana de la Flor area is Los Naranjor Bayo Grander. This village did not have any type of running water other than surface water. This village needed a tank, tubes, valves, cement, etc. It also needed supervision for the construction. This project was finally completed in the first part of 2024 due to the rains in the area. It also needed supervision. The total cost of this project $9095. 0 0 A number of years ago Mission Honduras Le Mars, Inc., started a fund, which would be a revolving fund to provide funding for health, medical, nutritional and other care and services to many Honduran children and adults that otherwise would not receive these cares. This includes providing needed medical supplies and equipment to Hospital Esquela University the national public hospital. This program is under the control and supervision of the Director of the Uno a Uno, a Honduran Foundation that provides full reporting to the Honduran government. Some cases involved patients needing special surgery. Some were patients that have been receiving care for the past 1 or 2 years. Others received medical care requiring specialized laboratory or radiography tests, and many other services and hospitalizations. A number of the children from la Montana de la Flor, the indigenous Tolupan, suffer from various forms of malnutrition, under-nutrition and stunting. Assisted Operation Smile; Cancer for kids at Hospital Esquela; a Malnutrition center in El Progresso; Prison Ministers, and othe programs. All records are maintained by the Foundation in Honduras. All the patients are poor or indigenous and have limited if no ability to receive these services.
