Part X, Line 2: The consortium adopted the provisions of ASC 740, Income Taxes, related to uncertain tax positions. This standard clarifies the accounting for uncertainty in income taxes recognized in an enterprise's general purpose financial statements. Based on an analysis of indentified tax positions, management determined that such were more likely than not to be sustained upon examination by the respective taxing authorities including resolution of any related appeals or litigation processes based on the technical merits of each position. Furthermore, based on this analysis, management determined that all identified positions should be fully recognized in the respective financial statements consistent with the measurement criteria under ASC 740. Form 990, Part VI, Section A, line 6 The Washington Theological Consortium is a group of seventeen seminaries and related institutions in the Washington, DC region. Each member organization provides one board member. In addition, other members of the board are elected to the board by the current membership. Form 990, Part VI, Section B, line 11b The process for Form 990 review prior to filing is a management function at the Washington Theological Consortium. It is reviewed by the finance committee as well as the executive director.
