Her daughter, Lori Chaka White volunteers and serves as Executive Coordinator. Ms. White does NOT receive any salary and has NO voting rights. Effective 2024 she will gradually train to become the Executive Director. Her skills and experience in the nonprofit sector will be advantageous for our program. Form 990, Part VI, Section A, Line 8a Due to the health of Elinor who oversees the day to day operation on the nonprofit, we did not have any meetings this year. Additionally, the plan was to dissolve the mission at the end of 2023 since we have struggled financially since the pandemic. However, Lori Chaka White (volunteer) is excited to pursue the challenge to keep the program functioning. However, Lori White, volunteer wants to give it a try for the upcoming year 2024 to see if we can resume more funding to keep the program going. The board entrusts the financial reporting to Elinor since this is a very small nonprofit and there has not been any salaries paid since 2020 nor has there been any significant revenue. The board is aware that the financial records are readily available for their review upon request. Form 990, Part VI, Section B, Line 12c Conflict of Interest Policy: Every year the voting board members are to review, update and amend the policy if necessary. A disclosure statement must be fully completed and given to the executive director in the event of any potential conflicts. Form 990, Part VI, Section B, Line 15 The decision of the salary is based on a similar range for an executive director from www.salary.com, www.payscale.com and The National Center for Charitable Statistics (NCCS). The executive director works unlimited hours and oversees the entire day to day operations of the nonprofit. The salary she receives does not compare to the unlimited FTE hours including in comparison with over 40 years experience in nonprofit management and education which includes an Advance Certificate in Nonprofit Management since 2009.
