Auxiliary members maintain office space in the hospital. Members also volunteer on a daily basis at the hospital. Through this daily contact with the hospital and hospital employees, the auxiliary is able to monitor the use of the funds donated to the hospital. Governing Body and Management - Part VI, Section A, Line 7a Per ByLaws Article 3.03, there are a total of 10 Trustees on the Board of Trustees. One of the Trustee shall serve in an ex-efficio capacity, by virtue of serving as Manager of the Texas Health Harris Methodist Hurst-Euless-Bedford Auxiliary Gift Shoppe. Another of the Trustees shall serve in an ex-officio capacity, by virtue of serving as Director for Volunteer Services. Tax Return Review- Part VI, Section B, Line 11B The tax return is prepared and reviewed by CPAs in the tax department of Texas Health Resources. The officer signing the return also reviews the tax return before signing and filing with the IRS. The entire board of the auxiliary does not review the completed return. Governing Documents - Part VI, Section C, Line 19 The organization does not make its governing documents and financial statements available to the general public. HEB Employees Hours - Part VII There are two individuals who are employees of the organization supported by the HEB Auxiliary, Texas Health Harris Methodist Hospital HEB. Both hospital employees work directly with the HEB Auxiliary on a daily basis. They spend 100% of their time working directly with the volunteers and the hospital to ensure the seamless coordination between the hospital and the auxiliary volunteers, however, they are paid by the hospital, not the auxiliary.
