Board members are emailed and notified whenever the 990 form is filed, amended or revised. Part VI, Line 12c Conflict of interest policy is annually reviewed during a board meeting. All board members are required to review and acknowledge the policy as well as disclose known or discovered conflicts of interest. The entire board of six members review any conflicts for disposition. Board members with probable conflicts of interest are required to recuse themselves from all voting or actions related to the conflict of interest once they have presented. The remaining board members discuss and vote in accordance with section 3.3 of the policy. The chairman may appoint an independent party to investigate. If it is found there is a COI then the member is advised and is afforded the opportunity to testify in their defense.
