Schedule E, Part I, Line 4 In our first year of operations, we did not have a formal process to collect demographic data on our students and staff. By the end of FY24, we will have a procedure to do so. We do not keep any demographic data on scholarship funds as we do not offer a program like that at this time. Form 990, Part III, Line 4a Part III Question 4a: List of Accomplishments for FY23 1. Opened the doors to the Early Learning Center on January 3, 2023 with a 2.5 classrooms and a capacity for 20 students. Ended the fiscal year by expanding to 4 classrooms with a capacity for 43 children daily. 2. Began a partnership with the City of Boston and Boston Public Schools to become a Universal Pre-K site to enhance the quality of our programming and provide City of Boston residents an even more affordable option for care for their preschoolers. 3. Partnered with Puddlestompers Nature Exploration to add science content to our toddler and preschool programming. 4. Through the growth process, doubled the amount of staff and increased Early Education job opportunities in the community. 5. Provided unique education opportunities through trips to the Arboretum, visits to Sophia Snow Place, and using the Boston Public Library as a resource to diversify our texts for our diverse student population. 6. Built a partnership with ABCD and actively provide care to families who participate in the state-wide Voucher program. 7. Built a partnership with DCF and actively provide emergency care to children who are placed in foster care. Form 990, Part VI, Section A, Line 8b During the first year of operation, individual committee discussions were held during full Board sessions. Conversations were documented as part of the full Board sessions instead of individually. By the end of FY24, the expectation is that these committees will meet regularly outside of the full Board sessions and will have documented minutes for those meetings. Form 990, Part VI, Section B, Line 11b Part VI Section B Question 11a: Completed 990 and all necessary Schedules were sent via email to all members of the Board of Directors. All Directors were given the opportunity to attend a specific Q&A section to answer specific questions in regards to the information with the Executive Director and consulting accountant. After they were satisfied will all of the information, all Directors responded to the email that they were satisfied with the content and it was approved to be filed. All changes suggested via the Q&A session and individual emails were taken into consideration and all appropriate changes were resubmitted for approval to the Directors prior to filing this form.
