Additionally, volunteers remove derelict traps from beaches and coordinate with the Florida Statewide Stranding and Salvage Network. Activities include on the beach training, gatherings and providing funding for registrations and travel for board of directors and volunteers to attend Symposia and conventions with the purpose of creating a professional cadre of turtle monitors. Data collection, report preparation and collaboration with local and state regulatory agencies as well as local, regional and national and international organizations help provide a system to monitor turtle nesting at local beaches in support of conservation efforts. (2) CWC board members communicated in person with Dr Shamblin regarding his DNA work at the Warnell lab and use of tissue (eggshell & unhatched embryo) collected by CWC volunteers. Also can monitor published reports by Dr Shamblin online and at professional sea turle conferences. Member election for additional members Part VI line 7a At this time our membership is open to interested members upon payment of membership dues. Governing body meeting documentation Part VI line 8a Coastal Wildlife Club, Inc has no committees at this time. Form 990 governing body review Part VI line 11 Coastal Wildlife Club, Inc will provide a completed copy of this Form 990 to all members of its Board of Directors and will obtain approval before filing of this Form 990.At a special meeting of the Board of Directors, each director will review the Form 990, and ask any pertinent questions prior to filing. A vote will be taken from the Board of Directors and once approval is granted, the Form 990 will be filed. Conflict of interest policy compliance Part VI line 12c The organization regularly and consistently monitors and enforces compliance with the Coastal Wildlife Club Incs conflict of interest policy.At the annual meeting of the Board of Directors, and at any time a potential conflict becomes known, such potential conflict is reported and discussed. Minutes of meeting reflect that the interested Board member leaves the room during discussion and vote. Each director signs the Annual Certification of Compliance with Conflict of Interest Policy and this certification form is filed with the State of Florida as part of the Solicitation of Contributions Annual Renewal Registration.
