In Kinshasa, Femme Berceau de l'Abondance (FEBA) provides marketing and commercial education for poor women, and the opportunity to do microsavings and to borrow microloans. It provides sewing machines for young graduates of the vocation school. It creates clothing and sometimes imports specialty items for sale in its market shop to support its educational and practical ministries. In the province of Kivu in eastern Congo, the Centre de l'encadrement des enfants en difficultés (CENEDI) provides a free primary school called Community Charity for orphans and other war displaced children in Goma. Besides oversight of the schools, the latter oversee local projects such as agricultural and small business activities which enable economic empowerment.
