A portion of the funds for the project had been recede several years before, but the work had been delayed by environmental concerns, covid issues, and challenging weather in fall 2022. Form 990, Part XI, Line 9 The organization acquired three properties in 2023; two 40 acre parcels which were purchased for $40,000 and $105,000 respectively, and one donation of a 2.5 acre lot which was assigned a value of $1,500 after acquisition. This is the same value applied to all such lots acquired by the organization. The two purchased properties were purchased with grants from the Nature Conservancy. The $40,000 parcel was acquired in a distressed sale and resulted in the organization being reimbursed for the purchase amount. The other parcel had funds placed directly into escrow. Thus the total value of the three acquisitions was $146,500.
