<DescriptionProgramSrvcAccomTxt>Educational Outreach: I create posts across multiple platforms including Facebook Nextdoor and Google which include the statistics for number of homeless animals entering American shelters annually and reminding folks that 4-5 million are still euthanized each and every year. Overpopulation compromises the quality of life and outcomes for these animals: They don't deserve to be struggling on the streets or being euthanized in shelters so let's fix them to fix those outcomes. Lots of people reach out to me for advice or help covering costs when they see my educational posts. People want to do the right thing but local clinics are booking out until September 2024 or charging $150 for a cat neuter with vaccines - Pueblo & most of Southern Colorado CANNOT afford this. I've created references like the one linked below which I share with individuals across Southern Colorado. <ExplanationTxt>| Explanation:| Community Impact: In addition to the 102 we have been able to help we have a continuously growing wait list of 300 people in need of low-cost spay neuter services! This is an exponential and endless number of unwanted litters we can prevent from flooding shelters in 6 months or having their own litters. This is how we improve lives for pets in our communities; reducing homelessness and overpopulation to increase favorable outcomes. We are proactively working with pet parents to keep unwanted litters out of shelters and off the streets!
