It opened to students in the current year enrolling 27 students across all four high school grades. Part VI, Line 2 The Academy's board of directors includes three married couples. None of these six directors are employed or compensated by the Academy or any related entity or have any business relationship with the Academy other than as donors. One additional director is also the pastor of the parish from which the Academy leases its facilities. This director receives no personal financial benefit from the Academy's lease payments to his parish. The Academy is not a related entity to the parish. Part VI, Line 11b The Academy's Treasurer and Secretary General Counsel prepare the Form 990. The form is then made available in a PDF version for board members who wish to review it before it is filed. Any suggested changes or questions are addressed by the Treasurer and Secretary General Counsel and if necessary final decisions on the form are made by the Chief Executive Officer. Part VI, Line 12c Directors and officers were reminded by the Secretary General Counsel of the conflict of interest rules in the Academy's written policy and bylaws during discussions of potential hiring decisions in which members of the board expressed interest in being hired by the Academy. Part VI, Line 15 The Academy's Headmaster is compensated an amount decided upon by the Board of Directors prior to his employment. The amount of compensation was arrived at by surveying the compensation available to principals of other Catholic High Schools in the general area which is within the personal knowledge of two of the Academy's board members who have extensive experience with Catholic high school compensation in the Diocese of Sacramento. The minutes of the board of directors meeting at which compensation was decided document the decision. The Headmaster is not a voting member of the board of directors. Part VI, Line 19 The Academy has had no requests for its governing documents financial statements or conflicts policy other than as follows: The Academy complied with a request from the Diocese of Sacramento for a copy of its by laws.
