The endowment is to allow the Society to be largely self-sustaining, and assist the organization in (a) underwriting the support of major works requiring large orchestras and performance venues; (b) reaching out to and educating segments of the community who have not heard these works; (c) ensuring the selection of the highest quality soloists to perform with the Society; (d) continuing a program supporting young artists who aspire to a performing career, giving them an opportunity to perform great music; and (e) keeping ticket prices to a minimum, allowing the widest possible range of citizens to attend and enjoy. Amended Articles of Incorporation have been filed with the State of Missouri. While not considered significant changes, the relative documents are respectfully submitted with this year's filling. Form 990, Part VI, Section B, Line 11b The organization's Treasurer reviews accounts and prepares financials and annual tax filings; financial management reports are reviewed by Board of Directors; Form 990 tax filing is reviewed by organization's Officers and Budget & Finance Committee members and offered to entire Board for their review.
