Lobbying is conducted in several ways: first, by the UCSA Government Relations Director, who ensures that no more than fifteen percent of their time is spent on lobbying; second, by students who participate in in-district and Capitol lobby visits; and third, by student attendees at the Student Lobbying Conference and other programming. UCSA is a student-run, student-led organization with a Board of Directors composed of students elected or appointed by our member student governments. UCSA's Board consists of one voting member per association, usually the External or Executive Vice President. The Board Members elect, from its membership, the following officers: President, Board Chair, and Secretary/Finance Officer. Additionally, each voting member may appoint two nonvoting board members, a Campus Organizing Director and Legislative Liaison.
