The endowment funds are invested and all of the investment return is permanently restricted until the desired endowment threshold is reached. Part X, Line 2: Income taxes are accounted for in accordance with the Accounting Standards Codification Topic 740 "Income Taxes" (ASC 740). The School accounts for uncertain income tax positions under ASC 740. ASC 740 prescribes a recognition threshold and measurement attribute for the financial statement recognition and measurement of a tax position taken or expected to be taken in a tax return and also provides guidance on de-recognition, classification, interest and penalties, disclosure and transition. As of June 30, 2024, the School had no material unrecognized tax benefits and no adjustments to liabilities or operations were required under ASC 740. The School's practice was and continues to be to recognize interest and penalty expenses related to uncertain tax positions in income tax expense, which were zero for the year ended June 30, 2024.
