The Organization was also greatly affected by the COVID epidemic, which severely affected 2020 and 2021, and because of limited opportunities for public gatherings, fundraising and meetings, and a worsening economy, likewise limited the breadth of potential donors. Nevertheless, over the last 3+ years and despite the limitations resulting from the COVID pandemic, the Organization managed to grow its donor base while still focusing on raising donations. That donor base greatly increased, along with an increase in the number of smaller donations from a broader portion of the general public. It is expected that as the Organization grows and builds its donor base, its public support percentage will likewise increase. Furthermore, it would be inaccurate to really consider the Organization as one that has operated at least five years, since besides for the fact that it was going through the process of changing leadership, it received very little funding during the three years prior to 2020, so that during the four years since, it received over 90% of total funds received during those past seven years.
