We were pleased with the scope, timing and impact our programs and presentations had in 2023. As we reflect on the past year, we are delighted with the impact of the Rondo Center of Diverse Expressions (RCODE) and the Rondo Commemorative Plaza (RCP) continues to have on the collective efforts to foster a deeper understanding of history, values, and culture of the Rondo Community.---- 2.The most profound change from 2022 was the influence of our work with students - from junior high, high schools, college and to those studying for advanced degrees, from all over the local area, other states, and, quite unexpectedly, a group of journalists and television commentators from 10 European countries traveling across the United States. Combined we welcomed over 1,000 students and others and added the story of Rondo to their quest for a deeper understanding and comprehension of the African American journey and contributions to the social, cultural and economic fabric of America. We believe our tours not only enriched minds but have also paved the way for their personal and professional growth and we are pleased to have played an integral role in shaping these transformative experiences.---- 3. We were also pleased with the rebound of programming at the Rondo Commemorative Plaza. The 3rd annual Juneteenth celebration was a success, as was the 3rd Annual Jazz in the Park series. The 6th Annual Engraved Brick Installation event was "live streamed" for the first time which allowed those who purchased bricks to see their bricks from the comfort of their homes, one of whom zoomed in from Paris, France. Our contributions to the University of Minnesota's Digital Library increased and we expect to add even more titles once we are successful in hiring an intern to comb through our files. We continue to add new varieties to our Rondo Community garden and we distributed over 500 lily bulbs to our neighbors for planting in their home gardens.
