HueArts NYS-an online platform highlighting New York state's BIPOC -founded and -led arts entities, consisting of a highly graphic report with recommendations for change, as well as an interactive web-based map that will provide city agencies, policy makers, philanthropists, peer organizations, arts and culture enthusiasts, and the general public with further information about New York State's rich People of Color arts and culture sector, and how best to promote and support them. Programming related to recommendations and findings is currently underway. Guided Tours, Membership and General Programming - Hueseum Tours are guided experiences and behind-the-scenes views of cultural institutions designed with people of color in mind. Participants are given on-site exposure to cultural institutions, learn approaches to best practices, and connect with arts and culture leaders. There are two types of Membership opportunities: 1.Institutional Membership: Our institutional members include museums, historical sites, science centers, and other cultural entities. They use Museum Hue as an educational resource and to reach a wider audience. Institutional members have access to promote opportunities on Museum Hue's job board, attend programs, and receive Museum HuE- Newsletters. 2.Individual Membership: Our individual members include museum professionals, students, volunteers, and unemployed individuals seeking opportunities and networks in museums and other cultural spaces. Individual members participate in networking events, webinars, workshops, and other programs, both virtual and in person.HueArts NYS Docuseries - In partnership with YouthFX, funded by New York State Council on the Arts (NYSCA), Museum Hues documentary series highlights nine arts organizations across New York State.This docu-series showcases each art organizations work and illuminates their impact within their communities. The series stems from the research, findings, and recommendations in the HueArts NYS initiative, which emphasizes the importance of supporting a robust ecosystem of Black, Indigenous, Latinx, Asian and all People of Color arts organizations. The following videos in the series will be released weekly on Fridays from May through June 2024.HueArts NYS Leadership Cohort - Created by Museum Hue through support from the New York State Council on the Arts (NYSCA), this is a six month fellowship that will provide leadership training and networking for 10 arts leaders across New York from June 2024 to November 2024. HueArts NYS Fellows will explore organizational leadership methodology, and best practices in cultural leadership.
