In the Spring of 2024 we updated our By Laws and amended our fiscal year to better line up with school year and operating expenses. This was voted on by the general membership and approved. We did not vote to change our fiscal year until our Bylaws were changed, voted on, and adopted at a general membership meeting this past year. They were accepted and approved by Texas PTA January 8, 2024. As a first time volunteer treasurer I was under the impression that our fiscal year would change at the end of the year and not retro-actively change from the beginning of the year.
