Our first key finding is, the four EleSense sensors can detect elephants with a 100% accuracy. As soon as EleSense detects elephants it triggers an alarm alerting the elephants while transmitting the signal via SMS message to the railway authorities, who direct the train pilot to slow down, allowing enough time for the elephants to cross over and prevent tragedies. In collaboration with grassroots partner, Nature Mates India (in West Bengal state), and the support of railway and forest authorities, our tech experts installed around 40 devices along an 8-km stretch.
