Ladies also came from as far away as Jacksonville, FL, Alabama, Kansas and the U.S. Virgin Islands to participate. The Prom Dress Fairy Project holds a FREE prom dress giveaway annually on the first saturday in March, in which ALL young ladies that attend receive a dress, make up, positive reinforement and a fun filled shopping spree for prom that is FREE of charge. The highlight of the day is when a young lady gets to walk the red carpet in the dress she picked out, so that her family can see. 2000 5000 We Does Fete Masquerade Band traveled to Austell (Juneteenth), Besemear Alabama (Caribbean Carnival), Stone Mountain (Mardi Gras) and several local Elementry Schools to perform and display the art of the Traitional Caribbean Clown. The dances and moves date back to African Ceremonial and Roman Festivals, and were incorporated into modern day in St. Thomas, US Virgin Islands and brough to the US Mainland by small groups, such as ours. We appear before crowds over 5k strong at times 0 300 We Love Books is a campain that we started about 3 years ago that has grown exponentially. We give books to day care centers; fill community book boxes, little libraries and book exchange program boxes in the Metro Atlanta Area, however we saturate the Gwinnette and DeKalb area the most. We have given away over 3,400 books 0 300 Bike Essay Contest. We did our first (with more to come) Bike Giveaway and Essay contest for elementary students. This program was created to foster reading and writing. The student had to write an essay based on the lessons learned in the semester with regard to transportation. We have 96 entries. Twenty five students received a $5 McDonalds gift card for a Sundae, all students received an award ribbon, 2 students (1 boy and 1 girl) received a Huffy 1 inch bike and a large 1st place ribbon.
