Waiver of Penalty We request waiver of late filing penalties. 2021 was an extremely difficult and complex year for Future Brilliance, and it took significant time to prepare the returns. The core mission is to support workforce training and livelihood support for Afghans in need, especially women and families. Due to the collapse of of the U.S.-backed Kabul government in 2021 and period of extraordinary chaos and want in Afghanistan, we were overwhelmed both with urgent needs from our beneficiaries and others, and also blessed with new donations to support our work. As an all volunteer organization accustomed to a much smaller level of effort, it took us time to work through all the filing requirements. The lateness was complicated by IRS online system maintenance in 2023. We were advised we could not file the return online at that time and sent it via USPS instead. The tracking information (#9505 5161 5286 3361 0434 89) does not show delivery, suggesting the return was lost by USPS.
