Deferred income tax assets and liabilities are computed annually for the difference between the financial statement and tax basis of assets and liabilities that will result in taxable or deductible amounts in the future, based on enacted tax laws and rates. The Foundation is subject to IRC Section 511(a) for income taxes on unrelated business income. The Foundation recognizes the tax benefit from an uncertain tax position only if it is more likely than not that the tax position will be sustained on examination by the taxing authority, based on the technical merits of the position. As of December 31, 2023 there are no known items which result in recording a liability related to uncertain tax positions.
